Hadith Explanation

Take to At-Toor

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Then a people whom Allah has protected will come to Eesa ibn Maryam, and he will wipe their faces [i.e. wipe the traces of hardship from their faces] and tell them of their status in Paradise. At that time Allah will reveal to Eesa, ‘I have brought forth some of My servants whom no-one will be able to fight. Take My slaves safely to At-Toor.’” [Muslim: Kitab al-Fitan wa Ashrat al-Sa’ah]

This hadith is a continuation of the one which tells us that Eesa (alaihis salam) will search for and kill Dajjal at the gate of Ludd. After this happens, Eesa (alaihis salam) will comfort the Muslims who suffered in order to protect their Eeman and Allah’s Deen. He will inform them of their high stations in Jannah and the rewards Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) has reserved for them, in exchange for the extreme hardship they have had to undergo.

Then Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will reveal to Eesa (alaihis salam) that Yajuj and Majuj have finally broken through the barrier and are coming. Since they are too many to fight against, Eesa (alaihis salam) is instructed by Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) to take the Muslims with him to the mountain of Toor where they will be safe.
